this is me, not studying.

Gah. Bobby Flay is the Bob Vila of the Food Network. Hate hate hate him and that stupid chick on his show. I mean, the last time I checked, taking the spatula away from the person who was actually cooking and ruining the entire dish is not something a talented and/or good chef would do. But maybe that's just me.

In other news, Buffy didn't suck last night. Entirely shocking, and just a bit irritating, as I decided not to tape it since the last two or three episodes have blown goats and I didn't feel like buying tapes for what I assumed would just be another in the long line of shitty episodes.

Tara fucking rocks! Messing with Spike. *giggles*

Willow and Tara, for the love of god, buy some normal looking clothes. Seriously, these two have the worst taste in clothing, ever. I'm not claiming to be a fashion guru, and anyone who has met me knows that almost my entire wardrobe is made up of hooded sweatshirts, jeans, and t-shirts. But criminy, these girls are freaks. I have never seen uglier clothes on any other show, and I hope to god I never have to.

Everyone needs to get over the idea that Willow can never do magic again. She was not addicted to the magic itself, but the power she felt because of it. I'm sick of being hit over the head with this whole magic=crack thing. The withdrawl symptoms? Lame. The idea that she can never, ever do magic again, for fear that she will become Infinite Evil? Incredibly stupid and wrong. I have no idea how ME managed to take a story that had as much potential as this one did and, not only utterly destroy it, but make it as boring and painfully irritating to watch as they have.

Xanya actually didn't make me want to gouge my eyes out with boredom and/or irritation, which was a refreshing change of pace.

"I don't think that's a skin condition." Hee.

Liked the refernece to Xander calling on the demon dude from the musical. Didn't like that it was a joke. They all know that what Xander did cost several people their lives, no? So how come all they've done this season is focus on Buffy and Willow's bad decisions and why they're wrong, wrong, wrong, when Xander can knowingly bring forth a demon who ends up causing the deaths of several people and face absoloutely no consequences?

Could Cecily/whatsherfacevengancedemon be the new girlfriend Spike's been rumored to get? That could be why there was never a casting call, I suppose, unless that spoiler is completely off base. If she is, hooray! Maybe. At least we won't have to be subjected to anymore impossible/annoying/stupid/pointless Spuffy sex scenes, even if it does end up being totally retarded. So yay! Because I am so sick of that.

Anyway, now that I look back on it it still wasn't that great. But! At least it actually moved some of the plot forward for a change. They still seriously need to get some direction though, because the end of the season is coming up fast, and if the "big bad" is supposed to be the Scooby Gang and their numerous issues, they've got a long way to go before I care about any of them.

[Edited to add that Dawn had damn well be getting some family time, as well as serious punishment for her descent into a life of crime next week. Or whenever the next new episode is.]
